Agri Aware

Agri Aware is a charitable trust that is funded by the farming and agri-food industry who recognised a growing need for an independent body to provide the general public with information and education on the importance of agriculture and food to the Irish economy.

Embrace FARM

Embrace FARM was founded by Brian Rohan and his wife Norma, a farming family from Shanahoe, Co. Laois, in 2014 to provide a bereavement support group for farm families who, like them, have lost a loved one or, indeed, suffered serious injury in a farming accident.

Farm Safety 4 Kids – Cloghans Hill NS, Mayo

Farm Safety 4 Kids is a website created by Aoibheann Mangan and Padraic Godwin, who are pupils in Cloghans Hill NS in Co. Mayo. Padraic lives on a farm and Aoibheann lives next to a farm. They started their website to encourage all the kids of Ireland ‘to be safe on the farm, whether they live on one, near one or just get to visit one every once in a while you must always be aware and take great care on the farm’.

Health & Safety Authority IRL (HSA)

The HSA was established in 1989 under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 1989 and reports to the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation. The Authority has a number of major roles. Their mission is to protect people from death, injury and ill-health arising from all work activities and chemicals

Health & Safety Executive NI (HSENI)

HSENI (The Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland) is an executive Non-Departmental Public Body sponsored by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETI). HSENI is the lead body responsible for the promotion and enforcement of health and safety at work standards in Northern Ireland.

Irish Water Safety

Irish Water Safety (IWS), strive to reduce water fatalities by increasing water safety awareness and by changing attitudes and behaviours so that our aquatic environments can be enjoyed with confidence and safety.

Progressive Agricultural Foundation (USA)

The Progressive Agriculture Foundation® governs and secures funding solely for the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day® program.

The Progressive Agriculture Safety Day program is the largest rural safety and health education program for children in North America.At the heart of this effort is the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day® program. This educational program provides training and resources for local communities to conduct one-day safety and health programs. Safety Days are designed to be age-appropriate, hands-on, fun, and safe for children.

Progressive Agriculture Safety Days are conducted in the United States, Canada and the U.S. Territories. In addition, the program is licensed in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.

Road Safety Authority (RSA)

The Road Safety Authority has a simple mission statement – ‘ to make roads safer for everyone’. The current national Road Safety Strategy aims to reduce collisions, deaths and injuries by 30%.

Teagasc

Teagasc – the Agriculture and Food Development Authority – is the national body providing integrated research, advisory and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities. It was established in September 1988 under the Agriculture (Research, Training and Advice) Act, 1988.

The Family Farm

Family Farm is a join venture with Agri Aware and is a purpose built interpretative acre that represents modern Irish farm life. Established on the grounds of Dublin Zoo's old City Farm, this redeveloped area of educational fun is a must see feature of the Zoo and is integral to communicating the importance of Irish agriculture to 1 million visitors each year.

Yellow Wellies - Farm Safety Foundation (UK)

The Foundation works closely with Young Farmers Clubs, HSE, the Farm Safety Partnerships and a range of farming organisations to help raise awareness of farm safety among young farmers, challenge and change their attitudes towards farming safely and reduce the toll of injuries and fatalities which bring heartbreak and misery to numerous families and rural communities every year.
